The house is located at the southwest corner of Kreuzberg near the districts of Schöneberg and Tempelhof. Numerous shopping opportunities, cafes, restaurants, snackbars, ice-cream parlors, kiosks and newsstands, bakeries, theatres and a park are right in front of the entrance. The Berlin Marathon and the "Karneval der Kulturen" pass through a nearby boulevard. In the summer the jazz festival "Kreuzberger Jazz Meil" takes place in nearby Bergmannstraße.

The apartments are in a rear wing of the building with windows to the south looking into a large inner courtyard and to the north to a wide open space. Road noises are hardly noticable.

From a nearby hill in Victoriapark, (the "Kreuzberg" with its monument by C.F Schinkel), there is a splendid view over the city. Here one can also admire the only waterfall in Berlin.
